I believe that GOD holds us accountable for our votes. I will not vote for the lesser of two evils. Preface: The first reasonable standard that a legitimate candidate for President of the United States must meet is the somewhat-low-bar standard that s/he is an adult who is proven to be cognitively stable and able to take-in and process information in a balanced way toward a wise conclusion. That's because the Commander in Chief role requires mere competence, and with that, a priority on what is best for the country, not necessarily what is in the individual's own best interests politically. Literally millions and possibly billions of lives will depend on high-gravity national security and defense decisions that person must be prepared to make 24/7 at the drop of a hat, even in the middle of the night. That, on its own, eliminates one of the major party candidates from being considered, and until just days ago, would have eliminated the other as well. One can be cognitively unfit due to biology and an associated lack of cerebral health, or cognitively unfit due to ego insecurity, and an associated lack of psychological health. Competence is like ice... it doesn't matter the reasons it became ice, nor even whether it is taken from a location 15 degrees below zero or 15 degrees above. Once the line has been crossed, it's ice. The line has been crossed on competence for Mr. Trump, and it is no less disqualifying for him as it is Mr. Biden. The second standard is allegiance to the Constitution. Does the candidate consistently regard the Constitution as the national covenant, or has the candidate rather given reason to conclude s/he considers supporting it to be optional, depending on his/her own self-interest? The third standard is ideology... not the first, not the second, but the third... how closely does the candidates' positions align with social and fiscal conservative lines of reason regarding the variety of issues that confront us as Americans? Having assessed Tom Hoefling, it is my conclusion that he represents the best choice for the one vote the Constitution affords to me. I will go to bed on that first Tuesday in November knowing two things: (a) My vote was one of millions and was never going to decide an election on its own, regardless; and (b) my conscience is satisfied that I did the right thing, and that's all that is my duty to do--if others do not do theirs in a similar way, oh well. The most wasted vote is one for a person who is not sufficiently competent to be Commander in Chief. And. Just as wasted is the vote for a person who is not sufficiently devoted to the Constitution to be Chief Executive. My vote will count for something because my vote will be fully sober to those points, and will be one I know to be consistent with my conscience. Yes, I almost certainly will be disappointed by the results of whoever gets the most votes, but I will be satisfied that if everyone had taken their vote as seriously as I did, we would be in a much better place. I really don't have much extra to say than what God has already written concerning rulers: "The Rock of Israel said to me, he that ruleth over men MUST be just, ruling in the fear of God." This one verse alone disqualifies all other candidates that I can see other than Mr. Hoefling. Mr. Hoefling has shown a just heart towards the unborn, towards our allies, towards private individual rights from a constitutional standpoint and a Biblical standpoint. And he does so because he has the fear of God in him. No other candidate has met these qualifications, not even close: not Trump, not De-Santes, not Rubio, not Cruz. Some of these men (not Trump) might have some biblical principles they profess, but they always compromise it showing that the God they serve is not a God they fear over pressure from politics and the multitudes. Compromising away right because of politics is not wisdom: it's fear/cowardice, a lack of true principles, a lack of justice, and a lack of a fear of God. Tom Hoefling does not compromise away the righteous laws of God for politics and multitude wayward thinking. Any Christian who professes to love God with all their heart, soul, mind, and might cannot read the command of God ,"he that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God" and vote for any other than Tom Hoefling. You Christian, know that Trump does not fulfill this qualification. And if you really pay attention to what God says is righteous, you know the others don't either. You have a choice. You can foolishly lean on your own understanding and vote for a destructive lesser evil ideology, or you can choose to lean on God's wisdom and command that rulers must be just and have the fear of God, and vote for such a man. That man is Tom Hoefling. Don't be foolish and think you're wiser than God. Even if God were foolish, he is still wiser than all men combined. "Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men."--1 Corinthians 1:25a But God isn't a fool, unlike us foolish men who compromise away his wisdom and commands for our own understanding: an understanding based in fear and cowardice. Let's obey God as a Christian body for once and support only those who are just and rule in the fear of God.
